"WHY SEARCH THE WORLD OVER FOR AN EXTERMINATOR OR AN ANTIDOTE FOR DIS-EASE? WHY NOT LOOK FOR THE CAUSE OF THE AILMENT IN A PERSON AFFECTED AND THEN CORRECT IT??" B.J.PALMER, D.C.
One of the first questions many chiropractic patients ask is: How long is this going to take? This is a question they may not think to ask a medical doctor . The chiropractor cannot be expected to undo years of dis-ease in a single visit. It just doesn't work that way. Your doctor will try to tell you how long it might take before you achieve maximum correction. Whatever the answer , it will be based on three considerations.
First, the doctor will look at the objective results of any diagnostic instrumentation or tests and your physical examination. Second, the doctor will assess the experience with other patients who had similar nerve interference patterns. Third, your chiropractor will consider those characteristics that are unique to you, including your age, how long you've had your nerve interference, your general health history, genetic factors emotional stress and diet.
The secret is to be patient. Work with your doctor and be very honest about how you feel about your care. The better your relationship with your chiropractor, the better your total healing experience.
