Yes the diets of these primitive peoples showed wide variety - but they all had an important nutirional factor in common. They ate the foods which were natural to their particular environment.

McCracken said that the first coronary attack was not medically described until early in this century. A famous Boston cardiologist , Dr. Paul Dudley White , once said that he never heard of a coronary while he was in a medical school.
Modern man's devitalized diet is responsible for his pervasive ill health, according to McCracken, who stated that man " is basically a meat and fruit eating animal. " He said that the refined while sugar is to a large extent to blame for some forms of diabetes , heart disease, stroke, schizophrenia, alcoholism and even possibly some kind of cancer.
