Brigadier Halstead Recommends Chiropractic Care for Our Troops
US Military General Halstead Breaks Her Silence!
Brigadier Halstead told the truth on the T.V. show Fox & Friends. “I retired because I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about 5 years previous to my retirement…I was on a plethora of drugs and trying to work through it.” She stated on national T.V. and radio that she got well through choosing chiropractic.
She added, “We could exponentially improve our readiness if we sustained and maintained the human piece of equipment the way we do our vehicles and everything else. And a part of that, I really believe, would be chiropractic care.”
Later, Halstead explained to host, Jim Bohannan the chronic pain involved with being a soldier with fibromyalgia. Bohannan mentioned a John Hopkins study that found musculoskeletal and connective tissue injuries; not combat injuries, is the top reason for medical evacuations from Iraq. General Halstead then shared the following: “Think about the conditions that our soldiers are living and performing in. I just recently visited a young sergeant who had re-deployed from Iraq. He spent two years getting physical therapy for a herniated disc and finally he was able to get to a chiropractor within the VA system. I was right there with him and the chiropractor when the sergeant said to me, “General Halstead, think about if we come in from our patrols to see a chiropractor down range. Can you imagine how much better we would feel on a daily basis?”
Yes! The word has finally made it to the highest level in the land – our soldiers!
